Burning Phoenix Knight, Homura
Evaluation
All Mystic Knights have good stats and a generally-useful orb changing skill. 
Burning Phoenix Knight, Homura unfortunately doesn't fit well on most color-combo teams except 
Heavenly Guide Suzaku, Leilan, but Fire is second to Dark in terms of accessible mono-colored teams, so he is a very useful monster to have on hand.
Active Skill
Changes Water orbs to Fire. Very powerful on any fire team. Since most commonly-used Balanced monsters are not Water, it doesn't really harm Balanced teams, either. Useful in Heavenly Guide Suzaku, Leilan teams as well.
Leader Skill
2xATK/RCV for Balanced Types only matches well with 
Flame Shrine Maiden, Chiyome and 
Creation Tree Spirit, Alraune, so it may be hard finding friends to form a stable 2/4/2 Balanced team. However, it's an uncommon leader skill that can provide good variety if you're looking for alternate teams to use.
Awoken Skills
Because the 
Sword of Flames survey dungeon is so common, it is usually better to save 
TAMADRA for REM-only monsters, especially because Burning Phoenix Knight, Homura's awoken skills are very underwhelming. 
Two-Pronged Attack in particular can be a double-edged sword - useful when you're trying to clear, but potentially harmful when you're trying to stall. Unfortunately, because he lacks 
Enhanced Fire Att., it can be hard to fit him on endgame-capable Red teams.
For New Players
It's quite easy to obtain a 
Mystic Flame Knight from the survey dungeon, so don't keep any of Burning Phoenix Knight, Homura's lower forms as a first roll.
