Gigas the Great
Evaluation
The Ultimate Evolution of the Fire-attribute Heartbreaker, Gigas the Great obviously has his place on any Fire-heavy team to keep Fire orbs flowing. While he gains no HP or ATK from his Ultimate Evolution, the +400 RCV is very significant. Now, it is possible to pull his RCV into positive territory with enough +RCV eggs, making him the best stat-stick for HP in the entire game. Just make sure to balance with some high-RCV monsters to help even your team's stats out.
The additional Light sub-attribute can help against high-defense/low-hp enemies and lets him qualify as a Light monster, opening up options for less conventional teams. Due to his very Fire-specific Active, however, he tends to add less synergy to a non-Fire team.
His Leader skill is Perseverance, but due to his high base HP, it would be better to use one of the farmable Ogres if you really want to run a Zombie team.
For New Players
It's NOT possible to roll Gigas the Great from the REM, nor his previous evolution, Red Giant Gigas. If you roll a Titan or a Gigas in your first roll, re-roll, as both are farmable monsters. If you need early access to the Active skill, it can be easily found on Samurai Goblin, which also means any evolution of Gigas the Great is very easily skilled up. If you're planning to run Fire-heavy teams, an eventual Gigas the Great is a must, but there is no rush to force him onto your team.
Background
Gigas is a word often used to denote a being of great size, and originated as a way to refer to the Gigantes of Greek Mythology.
