  • Hey there, I'm new to the wiki (posting wise, I've been reading it since I started playing something like 100 days ago). Is there a way to add sample teams to descended dungeons? None of the suggestions for Heroes Descended really worked for me but I was able to put together a pretty surefire dragon team strategy and there's nothing similar to it up there yet.

  • ok i have no idea how to that.. I register an account to edit, but i got this only registered users can edit template. And even if I did able to see whats inside the template, do you mind pointing me on how to adjust the timezone to GMT +8 for me?

    THanks a lot!

    • Sorry that inform that there's no way to do that on this wiki. The eng wiki is supposed for the US community and localized for them. There's no function on wikia to localize date/time. If you edit the template, it changes the page to ALL users, which is no good.

  • I see you are a Chinese and English Translator. I have a wiki thats in english, I recently discovered a chinese version of the wiki that we are trying to become assosciated with however we are having trouble contacting them (unless we adopt them). I was wondering (I will give you the links later) if you could help provide translation. Let me know if you are intrested.

  • Do you or any of the other Chinese admins happen to know how to read the PAD files to get stuff like names and dungeons out of them? One of the PDX admins does it for their site, but he doesn't want to tell me how he does it. :(

  • Did you figure a way to lock this to unregisterd people yet? There are a couple people butthurt that I deleted their special "thanks to this person" message and are now repeatedly deleting the page. Not hard to fix,but I'm already annoyed at having to undo their edit every hour.

    • Don't be an ass about giving credit where it's due then. I can tell you're just stealing it from pdx anyways.

    • Yeah no. Besides days when I can't get around to it, I update it before/without the help of pdx/fb/puzzleforums. I was busy the past couple days and didn't get to it which is why somebody else did it

Also, stop being a dick. You're just making it worse for people who are just trying to get info. Just talk here or put it in the forums if you really think it is such a big deal that it must be known that you updated it today

    • Also, I am not an admin unless somebody made me one without telling me. I just contribute when I can. Mostly taking care of the daily events. And yes 95% of the time I do the schedule myself. The other 5% somebody else fills it in or occasionally nobody gets around to it. If the admins say to leave in credit when somebody does it, then fine I will. Otherwise it just looks terrible on the page and doesn't really serve any purpose.

    • Yes, I've locked the page. Only users registered over 4 days may edit those protected pages now.

  • I heard this from someone:

The PAD Wikia or puzzledragonx should really have a custom team creator, so we can theorycraft some teams without having to own all the monsters or take screenshots to show all the stats.

It should be pretty easy because there is already the TeamBox template, right? Just needs an interface for the user.

    • Yeah~! I got the leader skill functionality working!

But, would you mind adjusting the css so that the stat + adjusted stat fit in the same row? I have to go home now.

(How can I run a function at window onload? I tried to find a way to do it on Wikia when I first started working on the code, but couldn't figure it out.)

    • CSS fixed.

Good question. It's tricky to run something onload with verbatim tag. The stupid way is just do a setTimeout to hope within like 1 second later the onload is triggered and you got your funciton fired. And another way is declare a function called PageFn (this already exists in the common.js code). This PageFn function will be fired through page onload via JQuery (document.onready to be exact). So pick the trick you like and that's it.

  • There is something a bit funky about when it  updates to the next days event. It changes over at roughly 2pm pst, which is way early. The JS file looks fine unless it is ignoring the -7 portion of h=d.getUTCHours()-for some reason.

  • I wrote a [forum post] a while ago about how to make combos, but the writing style is kind of different and I'm not sure what's the best way to make it into a Wiki article.

    • I just read the post. Interesting. You may move the article here and try to improve it later. (maybe someone else could help improve it)
